Dropping by to fill you in with my latest news, t’was a busy Summer Festival season and Autumn is turning out to be even busier. Toured Ireland with Joe Strouzer; always great times on the Emerald Isle, lovely warm fans and many pints of Guinness and many a mile later we got back to Bristol and started working on a new album!
New sounds have been ringing round my head for a while and with the help of Joe on harp, Luke Barter on bass and Toby Murray on drums we have got an electric album in the pipeline. Recording is in full flow and I can guarantee it’s gonna be big, loud and I’m finally getting the chance to get my electric guitars to chase some tunes out of my head. They’d been trapped in there for too long.
Here are the boys:
Toby Murray, myself, Joe Strouzer and Luke Barter…
With Nathan Lewis and Alex Beitzke engineering and producing we have been recording between Bristol and London’s Dean Street Studios. You will very soon get a taste of the action as we have a video of a tune called “Black Cat” about to be released. The song will appear in the new album which is due for a Spring release. So keep tuned in and let me know what you think of the new sound.
In between sessions I have had a trip across La Manche for two great gigs in Auxerre and Paris opening for the one and only Ana Popovic. An even bigger gig is coming up on Saturday December 7th in Dunkerque with my old friends HeyMoonShaker, here is the link to the event:
Joe and I will be very happy to see all our French fans there.
It’s going to be a frantic end of the year with more recording, mixing and touring underway with gigs at the Crazy Bear in Fitzrovia (London) and Stadhampton all through December….. and the grand finale to welcome the new year in at the Magic Garden in Battersea.
